Who Do I Think I Am?
Thanks for visiting! Listen to the Muse, and take her/his hand!! This site is designed to help you awaken and maintain your creative groove while you go about your daily chores of cleaning toilets and taking the trash out. Get your pens, pencils, crayons, clay, instruments, oils, voice, paintbrushes, and other artistic elements out of your respective hineys and get to work! Check out my Quit Farting Around and Ripple the Universe challenges for new ideas for making things. Have fun, hold hands with the Muse, and enjoy a creative day!

Recently, I began linking up with the Trifecta Writing Challenge, and they posted a meme for all their participants. I’ve posted it below.
- What is your name (real or otherwise)?
My name is Jennifer Worrell. I have been called a handful of other colorful names, but “quirky” is one of my favorites.
- Describe your writing style in three words.
Funny, twisted, irreverent
- How long have you been writing online?
I started in 2010, but then I got pregnant with my son. I abandoned my blog to work on another writing project; I couldn’t do both because I was sick as a DOG! Hyperemesis is MISERABLE! I launched my blog again in February of 2012. I’m having a blast!
- Which, if any, other writing challenges do you participate in?
Mama Kat’s Pretty Much World Famous Writing Workshop, The Write Word and the Wrong Word Challenges, Flog Yo Blog Fridays, Five Sentence Fiction, Write on Edge, and Yeah Write
- Describe one way in which you could improve your writing.
I could improve my writing by becoming a better editor. I tend to write something, check over it, and hit the publish key. I don’t let things ruminate long enough because I don’t have time.
- What is the best writing advice you’ve ever been given?
Just show up, and the ideas will come.
- Who is your favorite author?
Rita Mae Brown, Cathy Lamb, Sarah Addison Allen, and a bunch of non-fiction writers. I also haunt The Onion.
- How do you make time to write?
I just started writing while on the toilet.
- Give us one word we should consider using as a prompt. Remember–it must have a third definition.
My favorite word is “tintinnabulation.” It only has one definition. I guess we’re stuck with “benevolent.”
- Direct us to one blog post of yours that we shouldn’t miss reading.
Poop is a good one because it gives a great picture of my life and writing philosophy. It’s also gross and kind of funny.

Gosh this site is a corker. I entered it on one of your sailing adventures, it reminds me of one of my favourite books and films – My Family and Other Animals by Gerald Durrell. The surname is very similar. Great site.

Hi Jennifer- found you via hughcurler who listed you from his One Lovely Blogger award. You are funny and irrelevant and that’s a winning combo. Plus – you are a fellow hyperemesis mom and that struck a chord! I have three kids and had the blessed affliction all three times, even to the delivery table: push, barf, push, barf, repeat. Will be reading more of these great posts.
